Opioid Addiction Treatment in West Palm Beach, Florida
Opioid Addiction Treatment
Opioids are intended for relieving pain. They do produce euphoria by blocking the pain signals and boosting dopamine, a pleasure chemical, in the brain. Opioids are commonly prescribed for surgery-related pain, broken bones and for treating cancer-related or other serious health condition-related pain.
However, like many other medications, opioids are addictive and frequently abused. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, there are over 13,000,000 Americans who abuse opioids. Some of these users are only 12 years old. Opioids are dangerous and should be treated as such.
When people use opioids for a long time, they build up a tolerance to the drug, which means they need to use more of the drug to get the same effects. Unfortunately, this is where many situations get slippery. Many users run out of their prescription opioids and start buying them from drug dealers or family members, even. In time, with such a high tolerance, people may turn to heroin or cocaine as prescription opioids aren’t doing what they want them to any longer.
Do you or someone you know have an addiction to opioids? If so, contact us here at Better Tomorrow today to get into an opioid addiction treatment program.

What To Expect
Before you get started in our West Palm Beach opioid addiction treatment center, we will need to do a pre-admission screening. This screening allows us to discover whether our programs are the right fit for you. If not, we will definitely help you find the addiction recovery resources you need.
If you do get admitted into one of our treatment programs, you can start right away. During the first week, you will go through the rest of your assessments and intake process. You will also attend the orientation process, meet all the staff you will be working with, get to know other members of our treatment center and get situated in the housing.
During the following 45 days, you will be set up and following a rigorous schedule including detoxing, therapy and other treatment methods. You will focus and work on your recovery goals, too.
In the next 45 days, you will work very closely with the treatment plan team to create an aftercare plan. This is a plan that is going to help you stick to your recovery when you are discharged from our facility.
Most of our patients will graduate their recovery program at the 90 day mark. However, this doesn’t mean that we make everyone leave at this point. If you need additional time to finish your treatment plan, there are other phases of treatment that can help you to get through it. Many of our patients will attend an intensive outpatient or outpatient program after they leave the inpatient treatment program.
Here at Better Tomorrow, we will work with you side-by-side to accomplish your recovery goals. From the first day of being admitted through the creation of that aftercare plan and even further into your recovery, we will be here for you if you need us.
Do I Need This? Can I Afford This?
Since most people who use opioids are originally prescribed the medication, it can be tough to determine whether an addiction is present. Some people believe since they have a legit prescription, it doesn’t matter how much of the drug they use or how often they use it. However, if someone isn’t taking the prescription as it is given, that does signify an addiction.
If you find that you do have an opioid addiction, you may be wondering whether you absolutely need to go into an opioid addiction treatment program. The truth is that these programs can be beneficial for just about everyone who has any type of addiction. With opioid addictions, it can be extremely tough to overcome the addiction on your own.
Another thing you may be wondering is whether you can even afford to attend an inpatient or outpatient opioid addiction treatment center. Here at our West Palm Beach treatment center, we accept most major insurances and allow for private pay. In some situations, payment plans may be accepted, too. We don’t want anyone to have to go without the addiction treatment they need. So, if you are struggling with opioid abuse, don’t hesitate to let a member of our team know. We will do everything we can to help you get into a treatment program you can afford.
