HOW YOU KNOW IF SOMEONE NEEDS FLORIDA DRUG TREATMENT?

The decision to get help for addiction is a deeply personal one. What we can say is that the fact you are on our page likely means that you or someone you love has a relationship with drugs and alcohol that is at least concerning. For most people it comes down to consequences. If you or someone you care about has repeatedly faced negative consequences due to drinking or drugs and continues to use in spite of them, then they would likely benefit from Florida drug treatment. If you’re still not sure, give us a call at 1-844-989-1415 and we can figure it out together.

Most people get help for addiction from us for at least 30-45 days, but it really depends on the individual and how much help they need to start their recovery with confidence. Your success is the most important thing of all to us.

WHAT DO YOU TREAT AT BETTER TOMORROW TREATMENT CENTER?

Our Florida drug treatment program is dual diagnosis in the truest sense of the term. This means we treat co-occurring psychological conditions like depression, anxiety and PTSD along with addiction to drugs or alcohol. Undiagnosed and untreated mental illnesses are a common cause of relapse. We believe holistic help for addiction that addresses physical, mental and spiritual needs is necessary for complete recovery.

In addition to psychological conditions of course, we treat primary substance use disorders. This means any chemical dependency on a mind- or mood-altering substance, legal or otherwise. Addiction to alcohol, opioid pain medications, heroin, benzodiazepines (like Xanax), narcotic sleep medications like Ambien, amphetamines like Ritalin or Adderall, crystal methamphetamine. We also treat abuse of hallucinogens and dissociative drugs like LSD, psilocybin, peyote, mescaline, ketamine and other anesthetics or inhalants. If you have a question about a particular addiction or disorder not mentioned above, give us a call at 1-844-989-1415

MAY I HAVE FAMILY VISITS WHILE I AM IN TREATMENT?

Yes, Better Tomorrow encourages families to engage in the recovery process. We find healing the family dynamic is conducive to even healthier recovery than might be possible otherwise. It has the benefit of both helping the family better understand addiction and helping the patient understand how their addiction affects their family functioning. It fosters understanding that leads to better support and more progress after treatment. Scheduled family visits are possible after the initial phase of treatment with clinical approval.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE FLORIDA DRUG TREATMENT CENTER?

We recommend 10-14 days’ worth of comfortable warm weather clothing that is easy to care for. It’s not a fashion show, so simple, non-revealing clothing is best. Cotton T-shirts, shorts and sweatpants. A hoodie is a good idea as some of the group rooms can be chilly with the air conditioning. A poncho or rain jacket can be helpful, particularly during south Florida’s rainy season (Late May through Early October). You should bring toiletries that do not contain alcohol and any non-narcotic prescribed medications in the original bottles. Please bring a government issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or state ID card or passport and your insurance card. A list of important phone numbers is good to have too so you can use our phones to make personal calls when permission is granted. A more detailed list will be provided by our Admissions Department by request.

WHAT SHOULD I NOT BRING TO THE FLORIDA DRUG TREATMENT CENTER?

Better Tomorrow’s Florida drug treatment center is designed first and foremost to be a calming and healing place. In order to keep our environment as serene and focused on recovery as possible, we do not allow cell phones, laptops or any electronic devices with a camera. This is also for patient privacy and confidentiality as we strictly observe HIPAA.

We also ask that you leave any workout shakes or supplements or over the counter medicines and herbs at home. These can interfere with medications we may prescribe or cause other problems. We will provide you with access to nutritious food and vitamins during your stay with us. You should not bring any revealing clothing such as short-shorts, midriff baring shirts, halter tops, thongs or bikinis. Also, any T-shirts which promote drug or alcohol use are prohibited. If you are uncertain about bringing a certain item that wasn’t covered here, just give our Admissions Department a call at 1-844-989-1415 and we’ll get you a prompt answer to your questions.

HOW DOES HIPAA WORK? WHAT IS HIPAA?

Have you ever tried to contact someone in treatment only to hear the phrase “I can neither confirm nor deny that person is here?”. If so, you’ve already experienced HIPAA. HIPAA stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (of 1996). It’s a piece of legislation that provides privacy and security for patient medical information. In plain language, it means that a patient needs to sign certain releases of information before any clinicians, doctors, or recovery professionals can talk to anyone outside the Florida drug treatment center about them. It can sometimes be frustrating for loved ones on the outside who are anxious to hear from the patient or get updates on their progress, but it is helpful to understand that it is designed with the patients’ best interests in mind. Being aware of HIPAA and how it works can make the treatment process a lot easier to navigate.

WHAT TYPES OF THERAPY AND TREATMENT DO YOU OFFER AT BETTER TOMORROW?

The Better Tomorrow Florida drug treatment program is designed to meet each patient where their needs and willingness intersect. This means we adapt our program to the individual and we’re able to do this in large part because we are smaller, independent program. Unlike large, institutional style Florida drug treatment rehabs, the help for addiction you get here feels personalized. You’re a person, not a file number when you stay with us. To that end, we offer individual one-on-one therapy with licensed therapists, group therapy in both primary process groups and specialized groups for specific issues you may be dealing with.

We utilize evidence-based modes of treatment here that deliver results. These include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motion interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Processing (EMDR), trauma resolution and couples therapy to name a few. Everything from our curriculum to the length of stay at each level of care is thoughtfully adjusted based on your individual treatment plan. More than anything, we are invested in our patient’s success. We feel there is no greater measure of our efficacy than the success of our patients in forging lasting recovery. That’s what it’s all about. The work we do in here is to make you stronger and more resilient out there.

DOES HEALTH INSURANCE COVER TREATMENT AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Better Tomorrow’s Florida drug treatment program works with almost every major health insurance company that offers PPO style coverage. With any insurance, you are always responsible for your deductible and out of pocket, if any. We always do everything we can to control costs for you without compromising the excellent quality of care we are known for. Insurance can be hard to understand, but we are happy to offer a free, no obligation verification of benefits for anybody interested in attending our program. That’s always the best place to start. You can give us a call or submit your insurance for verification using the form here.

Once you know what your benefits can do for you here and we explain them in plain language, you will be in a much better position to make an informed decision you can feel good about. If you choose to self-pay for your treatment, Better Tomorrow Treatment Center has very reasonable terms for the quality of care we deliver. We have a policy of never imposing any undue financial hardship on the families we are working to help heal. Give us a call today and we’ll be happy to answer all your questions about using insurance for Florida drug treatment with us. Get the help for addiction you need and deserve. There is no time like the present.

WHAT ABOUT RELAPSE?

Relapsing is unfortunately a reality for many as addiction is a disease that can only be managed rather than completely “cured”. That is the truth, which what you’ll always get from us. The good news is that addiction treatment research has been laser focused on preventing relapse and reducing recidivism rates over the past 20 years and we have made great strides. Evidence-based addiction treatment programs like Better Tomorrow don’t rely on simple cookie cutter treatment methods like you may have seen in the past. We have a specific focus on relapse prevention baked into our program.

While it is true that the ultimate responsibility is in the hands of the patient, there is a great deal we can do to make sure that you have all the tools and support you need for successful and lasting recovery when you complete our program. This begins with a finer understanding of addiction and your specific triggers. With our guidance, you will develop healthy coping mechanisms and begin to process past trauma and identify the behavior patterns and habits which have been serving as roadblocks to your recovery. We cannot promise anyone they will never relapse. No one can. But we can promise you that you will get everything you need to build a successful life in recovery for yourself while you are here and that we will be with you every step of the way. Success in recovery is simple, but not easy. It boils down to honesty, open-mindedness and willingness. The greater the degree you are able to cultivate each of those traits in yourself with our help, the better your chances of continuing to stay sober so you can grow and thrive in recovery. It really is that simple. Working hard, having humility and being honest are the keys to the kingdom.
